The Red Team was a team for freelance players, and for players who had not joined a team yet. During Season 2 NewOrange (Orange Team) abused this mechanic by placing their substitute players, Madkate and HAHAHARLEY on the red team to aid them in their tournament game. Serial, nor the Tournament organizer did not take kindly to this and the concept for team red had to be reviewed. NewOrange were penalized because of the actions of this game.
For Defly.io Tournament Season 3, this concept of a non-team team was removed and the Red Team was subsequently replaced by team Hyperion.
